IHC directs PTI to file new application in connection with its public meeting in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad High Court (IHC) has directed PTI to file new application in connection with its public meeting in Islamabad.

The Chief Justice (CJ) IHC Aamer Farooq remarked the court cannot propose any venue as it is job of the administration to tell permission has to be given in D Chowk or F-9 Park.

The PTI application containing the request for issuance of NOC in connection with its public meeting and sit-in came up for hearing before single bench of IHC led by CJ Aamer Farooq Friday.

The CJ IHC directed PTI to seek permission from the administration by informing about the date and time of its public meeting.

The counsel for PTI told the court the petitioner is outside the city.

The court inquired that PTI is outside the city.

The counsel for the petitioner told the court Ali Nawaz Awan is petitioner in this case and he is not available today.

The court remarked “ the court has to say only this whatever has to be done it should be done as per law and procedure.

Advocate General (AG) Islamabad told the court it is not known he has to come when. His application was for November 03 which has already become infructuous.

The court directed counsel for PTI You have to give new application to the administration and if the problem is not solved then he can file new petition. Now cause of action has ended on which the petition was filed. The court cannot propose any venue. It is job of the administration to tell it has to give permission in D-chowk or F-9 park. The rules and regulations and conditions of the public meeting have to be settled with the administration. Order in this connection has come from SC. This all has to be decided by the administration. We have to give only direction that they should take action on their application as per law.

The PTI counsel told the court We give the application to the administration today.

The assistant counsel for PTI told the court Babar Awan himself will appear in this case. It is requested to court to adjourn the hearing till Tuesday.
