IHC dismisses plea seeking review of court orders for deciding central appeal pleas in iddat case within a month

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad High Court (IHC) has dismissed the plea seeking review of court orders to decide the central appeal pleas in iddat case within one month. The court upheld the order that Sessions court should decide the appeal pleas within month. High Court has already directed sessions court to decide appeal pleas within a month. Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb of IHC took up Khawar Manki petition for hearing Tuesday. The assistant lawyer to Khawar Manika said senior lawyer Rizwan Abbasi is pre-occupied in Supreme Court (SC). Please announce some interval in the case. Suleman Akram Raja counsel for Imran Khan argued counsel for Khawar Manika has written he wants to go to Iran, Iraq for pilgrimage. He has written he has to go for ziarat therefore the restriction for one month be abolished. Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb remarked the case will be taken up again at 11.30. IF Rizwn Abbasi comes we will hear his arguments. If counsel for khawar Manika does not come then we will decide the ca se after seeing the record. Counsel Suleman Akram said today is July 9. There is deadline of July 12 for deciding the case. Counsel Rizwan Abbasi appeared in the court. Suleman Akram Raja and Usman Riaz Gul appeared on behalf of Bushra Bibi and PTI founder. Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb remarked court can correct its every order. Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb remarked has Suleman Safdar not started arguments so far. Suleman Akram Raja told Suleman Safdar is in the court. The arguments of first part have been completed. Rizwan Abbasi said Zahid Asif is in trial court. He will give his arguments. It is Muharram and Zahid Asif is not there. Give us time till September. Suleman Akram Raja opposed Rizwan Abbasi plea for giving time till September. This court had given final decision and it was not temporary relief. The court rejected the petition seeking review of direction for deciding the appeal in one month.
