IHC moved against enhancing security of former CJP Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry

ISLAMABAD: Petition has been filed in Islamabad High Court (IHC) against enhancing security of former Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry.

The petitioner Prof Waheed Kamal has taken plea in his petition that the security provided to other retired chief justices be provided to Iftikhar Chaudhry as all are equal in the eye of constitution. If precedent is set for enhancing the security of Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry then this step will not only affect the other judges but it will also shift financial burden on national exchequer.

He further said that former CJP Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry feel scared for the inequitable decisions he had given and is demanding protocol in the name of security.
