ISLAMABAD: Islamabad High Court (IHC) has been moved against former Chief Justice (CJ) Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry on charges of deliberate violation of Security of Pakistan on his part and provision of safe passage by him to Hussain Haqqani to flee from country.

The petitioner Shahid Orakzai said in his petition that overlooking state security was not perchance but the former CJP had secret nexus with an intelligence agency which played a crafty trick to help Hussain Haqqani flee from the country.

It was said in the petition that in fact the 8 judges were deceived who were not aware of the forces active behind the escape of Hussain Haqqani. The sitting CJP was also included in them.

It was said in the petition that Iftikhar Chaudhry was aware of the fact that former president and prime minister were at the back of Hussain Haqqani as former ambassador was kept first of all in Aiwan-e- Sadr and later in Prime Minister House.

The petitioner said that the affidavits of former chief of army staff and former DG ISI were there before the court. Former DG ISI had himself investigated into Haqqani connections with US defence department.

The petitioner prayed that FIA be directed to investigate Hussain Haqqani escape from the country.
