Imparting skills to youth is need of hour and key to success, Shehbaz Sharif

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif said that imparting skills to youth is need of hour and key to success. Promotion of technical education is necessary for development of country. Skill development should be our priority.

Efforts are underway for reforms in department of education. It is the right of all and not of any particular class. If you want to progress, don't make negative things a chain for feet rather a solution must be found. There should be no discrimination between rich and poor in educational fields. It is not easy to break habits that have formed in 75 years.

While addressing at the foundation stone laying ceremony of the main campus of National University of Technology in Islamabad, Prime Minister (PM) said that 4 lakh 50 thousand students were given scholarships on merit in past periods.

Shehbaz Sharif said that if skilled people are sent abroad, Pakistan’s trade deficit will be reduced.

The young generation has the ability to take the country forward by eradicating corruption immediately.

He said that participation in inauguration ceremony of National University of Technology is an honor for me.

Nawaz Sharif had launched this institution. We paid attention to vocational training during the tenure of Chief Minister in Punjab.

We worked on the projects of learning and teaching skills even in 1997.

Of course resources are needed to start any work.

Shehbaz Sharif said that education is a skill in any field.

Technical education is the guarantee of success to take the nations forward in the era of development.

I am sure that university administration will take the institution forward.

Talent works as best weapon in any field.

It is hoped that talented youth will make the name of Pakistan shine all over the world.

PM said that technical education is necessary for development of nations.

Punjab Endowment Fund was created in 2008.

2 billion rupees were allocated annually from budget for Punjab Education Endowment Fund.

“Danish” schools were built for quality education of poor children.

Shehbaz Sharif said that only one month is left of our government.
