ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan, Sunday, condemned police baton-charge on party workers during a protest near Bilawal House, Karachi.

In a message on social media (twitter), Khan said: “Shocked to c (see) PTI’s peaceful protest in Khi (Karachi), against the non-implementation of a court order 4 removal of illegal Bilawal House wall, attacked.”

“Shameful how the feudal mindset of dynastic-controlled political parties allows their leaders to usurp public property for its personal needs,” he said.

“When PTI peacefully protests two challenge illegal behaviour and noncompliance of court orders, it is physically attacked. Is this democracy?,” he questioned.

He hoped that all PTI protesters, including senior party leader Dr Arif Alvi, were safe.

On the other hand, PPP chief Bilawal Bhutto Zardari defended his party workers and instead accused the PTI activists of resorting to violence.

The young PPP leader tweeted: “TTP Youth wing brought sticks and weapons to attack PPP workers. PPP workers women and children have been attacked.”

He added: PPP Jyalas faced TTP, ran towards bomb blast to save smbb & are not scared of mini Taliban in jeans. PTI wants wall down so TTP can kill me.”
