LAHORE: Inaugural ceremony of seventh Alkhidmat Youth Gathering under Alkhidmat Foundation’s Volunteers Program was held at Alkhidmat Complex.

In the ceremony, President Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan Dr. Hafeezur Rehman, Vice President Dr. Mushtaq Ahmed Mangat, in-charge volunteers program Sanan Akbar, in-charge media and public relations Shoaib Hashmi, office-bearers, representatives of youth societies and Alkhidmat’s youth ambassadors from several colleges and universities participated.

On this occasion, President Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan Dr. Hafeezur Rehman said that seventh Alkhidmat Youth Gathering under Alkhidmat Foundation’s Volunteers Program would be conducted at Aiwane Iqbal on January 14. Containing on different sessions Alkhidmat Youth Gathering would be participated by the heads of numerous universities, students, renowned motivational speakers, personalities working in social work and individuals belonging to several walks of life.

Motif behind holding youth gathering was to enlighten the male and female students with the significance of volunteerism so that being students they could serve the distressed masses, he said.

While briefing the students about their responsibilities in connection with Alkhidmat’s Youth Gathering, Vice President Dr Mushtaq Mangat said particularly climate change had been selected as the topic of this year so that youth could be informed of changes this regard in coming times while keeping in mind their responsible role.
