Indian engaged in slaughter of Kashmiris: APHC

SRINAGAR: The All Parties Hurriyat Conference leaders have deplored that Indian troops are engaged in the genocide of Kashmiri Muslims to change the demographic composition of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

The APHC leaders paid rich tribute to the victims of Shopian massacre on their 5th anniversary. Six youth were martyred by the troops of 44 Rashtriya Rifles unit of the Indian Army during a so-called cordon and search operation in Pahnoo area of Shopian, on this day in 2018. During the investigation in November 2018, on the petition filed by rights activist, Muhammad Ahsan Untoo, it came to fore that nothing adverse was found against the victims.

The APHC leaders including Ghulam Muhammad Khan Sopori, Syed Bashir Andrabi, Khawaja Firdous, Muhammad Saleem Zargar, Yaseen Attai, Zamruda Habib, Yasmeen Raja, Farida Bahenji and Dr Masaib in their statements issued in Srinagar said India made IIOJK the most militarized zone in the world where Indian troops have been engaged in the killing of innocent people for the last over seven decades.

They said no power on earth can suppress the ongoing Kashmir freedom movement and the mission of Kashmiri martyrs would be taken to its logical conclusion at all costs. They said that the international community must take cognizance of the genocide of Kashmiris by India. They demanded investigations into all incidents of mass killings in IIOJK through the UN War Crimes Tribunal to punish the involved Indian troops.
