Inquiry report on two missing persons from Chakwal sent to SC

ISLAMABAD: District and Sessions Judge Chakwal has finalized the inquiry report and sent it to the Supreme Court (SC) in respect of recovery of two brothers who had gone missing from Chakwal.

Sessions Judge cross examined intelligence agency personal Naik Muhammad Anwar and other witnesses. The intelligence agencies have been alleged to be behind enforced disappearance of two brothers including Omarzada and Omar Bakht.

Father of these two bothers said the intelligence agencies were behind the enforced disappearance of his sons. Police personnel are also involved therein, he added.

Sub inspector Shabbir who had given evidence in SC against the intelligence agencies has not only backed out from his statement but also he has got himself transferred in order to separate him from the case.

Naik Anwar, employee of intelligence agency told the inquiry committee head that he had no connection with the matter of enforced disappearance of these two persons. He is performing his duty in Chakwal in connection with national security, he said adding he was not present in Chakwal when the incident took place.
This is second time that Sessions Judge Chakwal has compiled the inquiry report and sent it to SC.

The hearing of the case of these two missing youths is likely to be held in the second week of January, 2014
