Inquiry underway at KPOGCL regarding alleged irregularities and illegal recruitments

PESHAWAR: A preliminary inquiry report on the complaints of alleged irregularities and illegal recruitments in KP Oil and Gas Company Limited (KPOGCL), a subsidiary of Energy and Power, department has been handed over to the HR Committee for further action, while after transparently hearing the stance of all the employees under the allegations.

The final report is directed to be submitted to the board after review. A meeting of the 55th board of directors KPOGCL was held under the chairmanship of Chairman Board Khalid Majid in this regard.

On this occasion, Company Secretary Shiraz Khan informed the board members about the preliminary inquiry report on the complaints of irregularities in the institution, after which after a long discussion and consultation, it was recommended to hand over the matter to the HR Committee. In the meeting, important matters regarding the financial affairs of the company were approved.

It was also approved to give an annual increment to the employees of the company in proportion to the current inflation and a slight increase in the remuneration of the board officials.

Secretary Power Nisar Ahmad Khan emphasized to bring reforms to further improve the efficiency of the institution and reiterated his determination that the oil and gas deposits found in the province are valuable treasures for which more blocks should be discovered by conducting a survey in the province.
