ISLAMABAD: Federal minister Khurshid Shah has said situation is very alarming in the country as institutions are not ready to accept institutions at present.

He said this while speaking in National Assembly (NA) here Tuesday.

He lamented that members of assembly are not discharging their obligations. Only 2 out of 96 ministers are present in the house. No one is here. We should talk to whom. We debate on budget and there is no minister there. Situation in the country is very precarious.

He went on to say if we will not be in the house it means we ourselves are unhappy.

We are not ready to run the democracy on successful track, he added. We have not torched any monument.

We are sitting here that no harm is caused to democracy. We are opposed to put political workers to jails.

We have not utilized our resources. Our country is agricultural country and no one can die here hungry, he remarked.

If three dams are built in Pakistan then value of dollar will fall, he held.

Election should be held in time so that democracy comes in the country, he observed.

We will not extend begging bowl, he said adding world will come to us with bowls.
