Intelligence agencies had warned of terrorist attacks on security installations
RAWALPINDI: Intelligence agencies had forewarned the Interior Ministry of possible terrorist attacks on security installations and personals throughout the country especially Islamabad and Rawalpindi.
According to sources, the intelligence agencies had written letters to the Interior Ministry in view of this the ministry had written letters to the four provincial governments warning them of possible terrorist attacks on military installations and personal.
The agencies had warned that the banned organisations have dispatched some suicide bombers for this purpose
It merits mentioning that the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has claimed responsibility for the attack that targeted an army convoy in Bannu and the R.A Bazaar in Rawalpindi.
“We will continue attacks on the government and its armed forces as the government has neither announced ceasefire nor peace talks with us,” said TTP spokesperson Shahidullah Shahid.
