Interim bail of Usman Buzdar extended till 18th May in asset case
LAHORE: While giving the last chance to former Chief Minister (CM) Punjab Usman Buzdar to join investigation in call up notice matter and assets case, Lahore Accountability Court has extended his interim bail till 18th May.
Court has also approved exemption from attendance for one day in respect of Usman Buzdar.
During the hearing, the court has made it clear that if Usman Buzdar will not join the investigation then consequences may be bad.
Accountability Court Judge Sheikh Sajjad Ahmed heard bail petition of former CM Punjab Usman Buzdar.
Usman Buzdar did not appear in Court on Saturday.
His Lawyer Barrister Momin Malik filed one day exemption plea of Usman Buzdar in Court and told the Court that mother of Usman Buzdar is heart patient and he is with his mother.
The roads were blocked so the application for exemption from attendance should be approved.
The court approved one day application for exemption from attendance in respect of Usman Buzdar.
Learned judge of the Court asked the investigating officer during hearing that what is the progress in the inquiry?
The investigative officer said, Usman Buzdar did not appear in NAB for investigation.
The investigating officer said, Usman Buzdar had not submitted the details of assets.
The lawyer asked for time to submit the details of assets.
Court has also ordered Usman Buzdar to appear on next hearing.
Usman Buzdar has also requested in application filed in Court that Court has sent him the Call up notice.
There is fear of arrest so the interim bail should be approved.
It has been also highlighted in application that NAB has said earlier that arrest of Usman Buzdar is not required and now it has sent notice.
It is requested to Court that interim bail should be approved.
