LAHORE: The steering committee of the Difa e Pakistan Council at its meeting here on Wednesday, finalized its programme in regard to the Kashmir Solidarity Week.

According to the schedule, a Kashmir Yakjehti seminar will be held at Multan on February one, under the aegis of the Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat. On February 3, the heads of the parties in the DPC will address a joint press conference at Islamabad. On February 4, a Kashmir Conference will be held at Muzaffarabad, with ex- Prime Minister, AJK, Sardar Attiqur Rahman.

On February 5, rallies will be held all over the country, especially in major cities, to express complete solidarity with the Kashmiris’ struggle for their right to self determination.

The meeting was presided over by the Secretary General, JI, Liaqat Baloch. Others attending the meeting included Secretary General, JUI(S) Maulana Abdul Rauf Farooqi, Ahle e Sunnat wal Jamaat’s Khadim Husain Dhillon, Jamaat al Dawa’s Maulana Amir Hamza, Qari Yaqub Sheikh, and JI’s Maulana Abdul Maalik. The meeting also decided to hold countrywide seminars and rallies against NATO supplies besides the inflow of the Indian culture through the media, during the month of February.
