LAHORE: Lahore High Court (LHC) has summoned IG Punjab in person on the contempt of court petition of PTI leader Khadija Shah against police officers.

The contempt of court petition came up for hearing before single bench of LHC led by Justice Ali Baqir Najfi Friday.

CCPO Lahore and other officers appeared in the court.

CCPO Lahore took the plea in the court IG Punjab gave the report of two cases registered against Khadija Shah.

The court remarked your report was unsatisfactory. IG Punjab should appear in the court on next hearing.

The counsel for Punjab government said during the hearing of the case more evidence against Khadija Shah were found later.

Police presented report in the court. It was told in the report there are two cases against Khadija Shah.

Justice Ali Baqir Najfi remarked this is not the way.

Counsel for Khadija Shah said Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) had sent Khadija Shah to jail on judicial remand till today in new case.

The court inquired from counsel did you challenge this order of ATC

The counsel replied he did not challenge this order of ATC.

Later court directed IG Punjab to appear before it in person on November 3 in connection with contempt of court petition of Khadija Shah.
