KPCTA organizes theater drama titled “Zarab”

Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Culture and Tourism Authority (KPCTA) organized a theater drama titled as "Zarab" in collaboration with Iqra National University of Peshawar and the Directorate of Youth Affairs at Iqra University Peshawar on Tuesday.

The drama portrayed the struggles of individuals suffering from mental stress and psychological problems due to uncertain law and order satuation in district Swat.

The main character of the story was played by Salman Khalid, while Laiba Shah, Haris, Mohammad Saad, and Hina played the roles of Swat victims in the stage drama.

The Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Dr. Shah Jahan Khan, was the chief guest of the ceremony, and Assistant Director of Youth Affairs, Naeem Gul, also participated in the event. Prof. Dr. Shah Jahan Khan mentioned during his speech that art must be kept alive, and this drama is actually a reflection of the difficulties faced by the residents of Swat. Furthermore, he added that in the future, the problems faced by the Pakhtuns need to be brought to everyone's attention.

Naeem Gul, Assistant Director of Youth Affairs, stated that this drama is an effort by the department to promote local talent. The students of Iqra University were given the opportunity to showcase their talents through this theater.

Anam Hamid, the Director of the Dramatic Society, stated that in the future, students will not only be provided with a platform for acting, but also stories will be brought to light that the world is not aware of. KPCTA intends to revive theater, drama, art and culture by arranging such events theatrical performances always supports the dramatics of society also gives picture of the society.
