RAWALPINDI: Lahore High Court (LHC) Rawalpindi bench has ordered Evacuee Trust Property (ETP) to deseal former interior minister Shekh Rashid office in Lal Haveli.

The petition filed by Abida Shamim sister of Sheikh Rashid came up for hearing before single bench of LHC led by Justice Waqas Rauf Tuesday.

Sardar Abdul Razzaq counsel for the petitioner appeared in the court.

The petitioner took the plea property 156-D too is part of Lal Haveli. The political office of Sheikh Rashid is located therein. The ETP had sealed Lal Haveli and adjacent properties illegally on January 30.

Sardar Abdul Razzaq counsel for the petitioner said the department had not desealed the property due to ill intention. Deputy administrator had de-sealed the property after we had resorted to the court. But Sheikh Rashid office still stands sealed.

The court while ordering ETP to deseal the office of Sheikh Rashid wrapped up the petition.
