LAHORE: Lahore High Court (LHC) has reserved judgment on Sheikh Rashid petiton regarding appointment of care taker Cheif Minister (CM) Punjab.

The petition filed by Sheikh Rashid regarding appointmnet of care taker CM Punjab came up for hearing before single bench of LHC led by Justice Shahid Karim Monday.

The counsel for federal government said Election Commission (EC) stopped implementation of various decisons of care taker CM Punjab. The final powers for induction of care taker CM lie with EC.

The court remarked if EC is independent and neutal then any care taker CM can do nothing. Had the respondents agreed on one name then the matter would not have gone to EC.

The court reserved judgment on the matter of appointment of care taker CM Punjab.
