Load shedding increases prices of candles

RAWALPINDI: Unscheduled load shedding in the district has raised the prices of alternate sources of electricity from 50 to 80 percent.

Details said, the prices of electric generator, UPS and candles have risen from 50 to 80 percent in entire district as their demand has increased, while traders are also selling substandard products under the labels of popular companies.

Whole sale dealers and traders have even increased the price of candle from Rs 2 to 20 which is used by lower and lower middle class.

Citizens have demanded from district administration and all concerned authorities to take notice of this situation because illegal increase in the prices of these products has increased the miseries of poor people.
