LAHORE: PTI vice chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi and former finance minister Asad Umar have appeared before head of Joint Investigation Team (JIT) in connection with investigation into May 9 incidents and cases.

Police said questions were asked from both of them with reference to May 9 incidents. The two leaders recorded their replies to the questions. Digital and forensic evidence of May 9 incidents were put before the two leaders .

After appearance the vice chairman PTI said head of JIT asked some questions. He asked what role was played by us.

I replied we had neither any role nor are we involved in the incidents, he added. It is not proper to bring questions asked during the investigation and the points of investigation on media. Neither we had any role nor were we involved.

Asad Umar said police have asked with reference to May 9 incidents. We have told what information we had with us.
