Missing persons case: 10 more recovered, PM constitutes special committee

ISLAMABAD: Ten more persons related to ‘35 missing person’s case’ under trial in Supreme Court (SC) have been traced out. Sources informed that, out of thirty five 10 more missing persons have been recovered, while report in this regard will be presented very soon in the SC.

Sources more said, the number of persons recovered with the efforts of defence ministry has reached 17, because 7 persons have been already presented in the chamber of Justice Ameer Hani Muslim on December 07, 2013.

On the other side, Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif has constituted a special committee for the recovery of 33 persons who have been allegedly lifted up through army from Malakand.

The committee along with recovery of missing persons will also prepare the draft for legislation in this regard. The committee will be comprised of secretary interior, secretary defence, attorney general and high officials of concerned ministries.

This special committee has been constituted by PM to implement the decision of court and to bring improvement in this matter. The special legislation draft will be presented to PM in next few days.

Sources also said, after the approval of the draft from PM, it will be also presented in any next session of National Assembly for formal approval.
