Murtaza Bhutto murder case: SHC orders respondents to prepare paper book in 3 days

KARACHI: Sindh High Court (SHC) while ordering the respondents of Murtaza Bhutto murder case to prepare paper book of the case within three days remarked if the order is not implemented then strict order will be issued.

The appeal pleas against the acquittal of accused involved in Murtaza Bhutto brother of former Prime Minister (PM) Benazir Bhutto came up for hearing before SHC Tuesday.

Justice Naimatullah Phulpoto took up the case for hearing.

The court inquired from the state counsel the order for preparing the paper book of the case was given when.

The counsel told court had given order for preparing paper book of appeals in 2011.

The court while expressing annoyance remarked the order has not been implemented despite passage of such long period.

The court ordered the respondents to prepare paper book of the case within three days remarking if order is not implemented then strict order will be issued.

The state counsel told the court 18 accused were nominated in the case and some among them including Shahid Hayat have passed away.

The court adjourned the hearing of the case for three weeks.

It is pertinent to mention here Noor Muhammad Goga, servant of Murtaza Bhutto had filed appeal against the acquittal of the accused in 2010.
