ISLAMABAD: Chairman Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Senator Raja Muhammad Zafar-ul-Haq has said that Pervez Musharraf was very near to detrack from Kashmir dispute when Allah dissociated him from power.

He disclosed these secrets while addressing a press conference along with other PML-N leaders here on Saturday.

The Chairman PML-N alleged that Musharraf permitted India to erect fence while both countries were not in favour of this, adding Musharraf did not bother to take briefing from foreign office before leaving for India.

The Senator said that if government had to sign any under-hand deal then it would not start proceedings against Musharraf under article 6 as this matter was pending for the last six years, he added.

Raja Muhammad Zafar-ul-Haq announced that PML-N has nominated Sardar Tahir Farooq as candidate for by-elections from LA-22, adding he said that Muhammad Nawaz Sharif took keen interest in Azad Kashmir’s elections but the worst rigging took place in Kashmir’s elections, he added.

“Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) has been used for political purposes in Kashmir and people were served in exchange with votes,” he mentioned.

PML-N chairman said that Kashmir government should focus upon two things, it should solve problems being faced by masses and secondly it should make efforts independence of occupied territory.

“There are neo-colonies in the contemporary world, Palestine and Kashmir and both problems must be solved,” the senator said.

He reaffirmed government’s resolve to standby with Kashmiri brethren for solution of this issue according to wishes of Kashmiri people.

PML-N secretary general Iqbal Zafar Jhagra, Siddique Al-Farooq and Sardar Tahir Farooq also addressed the press conference.
