NAB starts reviewing pending cases

ISLAMABAD: National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has started reviewing hundreds of cases that were pending for a long time.

Special committee would present report before meeting of executive directors about the cases and the meeting will decide to whether the cases will proceed further or should be disposed of.

Sources in NAB told reporter on Sunday that the committee formed to review cases has received suggestions and recommendations from officials concerned and reviewing process is in last stage.
Sources informed that some 300 cases had been pending for last many years including important cases against veteran politicians.

Acting chairman Saeed Ahmad Sargana would chair meeting of executive directors that will decide about re-opening and disposing of the cases. Sources said that it is wrong that 300 cases have been restored.
