RAWALPINDI: Residents of Shabbir Colony Rawalpindi have voiced strong protest over non laying of water supply lines.

The residents said that water supply lines have been laid in all the areas of Shabbir Colony of Shah Jeewan colony Lakhan but the streets No 1, 2 and 3 have been ignored deliberately.

“We are being victimized on political considerations as the ruling party local leadership is giving us punishment for not casting votes in their favor during general elections. They are impeding the process of laying water pipelines in our streets”, complained the residents.

The residents have demanded for immediate laying of water pipelines to ensure supply of clean drinking water to them and they be not treated as second rate citizens on account of their political affiliations to the opposition party of the government.
