Old enmity claims three lives in Peshawar

PESHAWAR: At least three people were killed and three others were injured in a firing incident in provincial capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Tuesday.

Police told that the firing incident took place in the Yousufabad neighbourhood near Dalazak Road of Peshawar.

The police further told that unidentified gunmen opened fire at their rivals, as a result of the firing three people were killed while three others, including a passer-by were injured in the incident.

The deceased and injured were shifted to a nearby hospital for medical facility while other members of the groups managed to flee after the incident.

A police official said the incident was a result of personal enmity between two groups, saying further investigation is being carried out and raids conducted to arrest the culprits.

However, an FIR of the incident has been registered wherein eight persons have been nominated and two out of them have been arrested.
