Peshawar: Opening ceremony of the three-day sports event, Imolympaid, organised by KP Culture and Tourism Authority in collaboration with Institute of Management Science University was held at IM Science Peshawar.

A large number of students from different walks of life including families and youth attended the event and enjoyed the thrilling performances presented by the artists. A Qawali night was held on the first day wherein the team of Israr and Ishaq presented qawalis and sufi and other songs to entertain the audience.

The team of singers moved the audience in trance through their music tunes and mystic poetic verses. People also performed traditional Pashto Attan dances on the music. Different games including table tennis, badminton and ludo were also held on the first day where more than 700 players participated.

The second-day schedule of the event includes retro stage drama and music performances as well as games. The games event would be held in the futsal court on the third day. The ongoing event aims at providing orientation to the youth of the province through diversity, strengthening peace and harmony besides promoting a positive image of the province.
