Pak-China economic corridor to bring prosperity in region: Barjees

ISLAMABAD: Federal minister for Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan affairs, Chaudhry Barjees Tahir has said that proposed Pak-China economic corridor will bring prosperity in the region.

Talking to delegation of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) from Gilgit-Baltistan here on Wednesday‚ the minister hoped that the project will promote tourism in the area besides increasing Pakistan exports.
Barjees Tahir has said that Pak-China economic corridor will prove a milestone in the history.

He noted that it would increase Pakistan exports and bring huge economic benefits to the region, adding that on the other hand Pakistan would emerge as economic transit on the global map, he added.

The minister said that this project would also promote the tourism in GB, which would ultimately favour local public.

Federal minister mentioned that the Pak-Army troops would be deployed to make Shahrah-e-Karakorum safe.
The delegation thanked the minister for taking interest in the issues of GB.
