PAT allowed Eid Milad celebrations at Convention Centre

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) has been granted permission to hold Eid Milad at Convention Centre on 13th Jan night, while it would also be celebrating the occasion at 300 Nationwide

Confirming the news PAT’s Abrar Raza advocate has announced receiving the notification , after assuring that the occasion would not be used for any political, anti-government activity; while earlier Majlis Wahdat ul Muslimeen had been refused the permission over law and order concerns.

Reliable sources quoted NOC vide 10(7)-HC (6)2014-60, issued by district magistrate office, allowing PAT to hold Eid Milad events on 11th , 12th and 13th Jan at the Convention Centre , from Maghreb prayers to early morning Fajr prayers.

Security elements have been asked to ensure better security arrangements for the occasion, while volunteers from Tehrik-e-Minhaj-ul-Quran (TMQ) would also be deployed for the occasion.

The occasion would be addressed by head of TMQ Allama Tahir-ul-Qadri through video-link from Bangalore (India) , from where the programme would commence, for Which occasion, about 100 million invitations have been issued.

TMQ had staged an earlier Long March from Lahore to Islamabad for electoral reforms on 13th Jan, while this year the very same date it would be holding Milad celebrations.
