LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has formed a four-member committee to elect a new coach for the national cricket team.

The committee will be headed by former captain Intikhab Alam, comprising former wicket-keeper Rashid Latif, former cricket star Wasim Akram and PCB chief operating officer Subhan Ahmed.

Reports said the PCB is unlikely to renew the contract of Pakistan coach Dav Whatmore who is informed the board earlier this month that he would not be seeking an extension in the job due to personal and family reasons.

His last assignment with Pakistan will be the ongoing Sri Lanka series in the UAE.
