Islamabad: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader and former Prime Minister (PM) Shahid Khaqan Abbasi on Sunday has said that everyone will see what will happen in the Senate polls.

The PML-N leader expressed hope that Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader and joint candidate of opposition’s Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) Yousaf Raza Gillani will win the Senate elections.

PDM is fighting for improvement in the system, he told.

Shahih Khaqan Abbasi further said that PML-N member and opposition leader in Punjab Assembly Hamza Shahbaz has not been granted bail due to any deal.

Earlier, Abbasi said, “If a former prime minister can be summoned to court, so should be the ones who stole the votes. There is no need of election reforms, only implementation on the law and the constitution is required.”

He added, “The institution of accountability is itself accountable. Commissions are formed here to protect the culprits, and same has been done in the Broadsheet case. Imran Khan’s government is one of the most corrupt regimes of the world.”

“Transparency International has also declared the incumbent government of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) as the most corrupt,” the PML-N leader went on to say.
