Perpetrators of May 9 incidents will be brought to justice as per law: FO

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan will continue to pursue its obligations and its laws on May 09 incidents and the perpetrators are being brought to justice as per law.

"US embassy has requested for consular access to Khadija Shah due to her dual nationality. The request has been transmitted to interior ministry. All those involved in May 09 incidents are being treated in synch with law and constitution. Pakistan will conclude all the matters according to its laws, this was said by Mumtaz Zahra Baloch, Foreign Office (FO) spokesperson in her weekly press briefing here Thursday.

She held Dr Aafia Siddiqui matter is running since last years. Foreign ministry is taking all possible steps in this regard. All the facilities were provided to Dr Fouzia Siddiqui in connection with her visit to US.

She went on to say US authorities were not allowing Dr Fouzia Siddiqui to meet her sister Dr Aafia Siddiqui. However meetings took place for three times due to efforts by Pakistan.

Pakistan consulate general in Houston consistently inquires about welfare of Dr Aafia Siddiqui.

We categorically reject with intense objections on the map of so called Akhand Bharat placed in new Indian parliament, she added.

She reiterated India is perpetuating brutalities in illegally Occupied Kashmir. Indian occupation forces are targeting children and youths with pellet guns and lethal arms.

Pakistan will continue its diplomatic, political and moral support to Kashmiris on Kashmir dispute.
