PIA begins preparations for its Hajj operations
KARACHI: Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has begun preparations to operate its flights to transport Hajj pilgrims to Saudi Arabia.
Three hundred special and scheduled flights will take 65,000 pilgrims to Saudi Arabia from across the country. The planes being used are Boeing 777s and Airbus 320s.
Flights will take off from Karachi, Islamabad, Lahore, Peshawar, Sukkur and Quetta.
As per the ministry of religious affairs’ order, PIA is charging passengers from Sindh and Balochistan Rs100,000 in fares. It will charge Rs110,000 from Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
