Plane crashes in central Punjab, two killed, one hurt

Mandi Bahauddin: Two pilots were killed as a trainer aircraft of a private aviation company has crashed in a village near Mandi Bahauddin, district of central Punjab on Thursday, officials said.

Police inspector Mohammad Shafqat said that the incident took place in Farrukhpur village situated near Mandi Bahauddin district of Pakistan,s Punjab province.

According to the inspector, the reason of plane crash was some technical faults while more reports are due to come. Rescue teams have been dispatched to the location while security officials also reaching to take out the remnant of the plane.

Media reports said three persons were on board in the plane in which two killed on spot while one was shifted to Mandi Bahauddin hospital in critical condition.

Other reports claiming the trainer plane belongs to Pakistan Air Force which crashed in Qadir Abad area of Mandi Bahauddin while casualties are expected in the incident. However, PAF official statement is due to be released till yet.
