LAHORE: Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has requested Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Umar Ata Bandial for constituting a full court commission to probe into the Wazirabad and senior journalist Arshad Sharif murder incidents.
Addressing a news conference in Lahore on Saturday along with Minister for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb and SAPM Malik Muhammad Ahmed Khan, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that he will soon write a letter to the Chief Justice Supreme Court of Pakistan in this regard.
Shehbaz Sharif said he will also request the Chief Justice of Pakistan that the same commission should also investigate the murder of senior journalist, Muhammad Arshad Sharif. He said the Federal government will extend complete cooperation to this commission.
He said that the nation deserves the right to know the fact and it is need of the hour to ascertain the reality in order to eradicate anarchy sabotage related activities in the society.
While condemning the politics of Imran Khan, the Prime Minister said Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf Chairman has been continuing the malicious campaign against institutions, which is helping to fulfill the enemy’s agenda.
He said Pakistan’s Armed forces have rendered matchless sacrifices in the war against terrorism. He said the PTI chief is misleading the nation by leveling false allegations, spreading propaganda and speaking blatant lies.
The Prime Minister said the PTI government registered fake cases against its political opponents.
Condemning the Wazirabad incident of firing on PTI’s Long March, the Prime Minister said that the Interior Ministry has been directed to investigate the incident.
He said that as the security of the Long March is responsibility of the Punjab government, however, it is a big question mark that no FIR has been registered so far.
The Prime Minister raised the question that why Imran Khan was taken to Shaukat Khanum Hospital immediately after the Wazirabad incident. He said extremism in the politics cannot be tolerated and the leveling baseless allegations on institutions should also be stopped.
He said Imran Khan used the killing of senior journalist Arshad Sharif for political objectives and also used religious card against his political opponents. Shehbaz Sharif also prayed for early recovery of PTI chief Imran Khan and other injured persons.
Replying a question, Shehbaz Sharif said that on the demand made in ISPR press release from the government, he will not delay for even a second while taking action, adding that the demand made by the institution from the government will be fully fulfilled. He said that Imran Khan is a coward person, adding that he will play full role for saving the existence of Pakistan.
PM Shehbaz Sharif said that the foundation of Pakistan has been shaken in result of allegation leveled by Imran Khan and due to this reason he has requested chief justice of Pakistan to constitute the full court to probe this matter, adding that no Pakistan would have any objection on formation of full court.
PM Shehbaz Sharif said that Imran Niazi habitually uses baseless allegations and lies to spread anarchy. Government has decided to request honorable Chief Justice of Pakistan to form a full court commission to investigate his allegations. Let the people see through his game plan to undermine national institutions, he said.
Replying a question, PM Shehbaz Sharif said that the appointment of the army chief will be made on time and media should not worry about it.
Replying a question, PM Shehbaz Sharif said that the matter of alleged video of Azam Swati has come into his knowledge and he has asked Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah Khan to take notice of the matter and facts of the matter will be brought before the nation.
