Police arrest 10 outlaws, impound 62 bikes

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Capital Territory Police on Thursday arrested 10 outlaws besides recovering tampered vehicle, weapons and narcotics from them besides impounding 62 bikes and four vehicles during general hold up, a police spokesman said.

According to details, SSP Islamabad Muhammad Rizwan has directed all police officials to ensure effective security and patrolling measures in their respective areas. Police officials have been directed to take strict action against vehicles being driven without documents and irrelevant persons.

On Thursday, ASI Iftekhar Ahmed from Shehzad town police station arrested Jamshed Khan and recovered one 30 bore pistol along with 03 bullets from him. ASI Tanveer Ahmed from Sihala police station arrested Asif for decanting gas in cylinders illegally. ASI Muhammad Arshad from Margalla police station arrested Shafique, Amin, Qamer for having nine of beers.

ASI Sarfraz from Sabzi Mandi police station arrested Salahuddin and Naveed for having two 30 bore pistols while ASI Asim Ghaffar recovered a tampered car (LEH-7646) from the Rooh Uddin. ASI Nasir Manzoor from Bani Gala police station arrested Sajad and recovered 02 wine bottle from him.

Sub-Inspector Muhammad Gulfraz from Sihala police station arrested drug pusher Atta Ullah and recovered 110 gram hashish from him. Margalla police station also arrested proclaimed offender wanted by them for his alleged involvement in crime of heinous nature.

Cases have been registered against these nabbed persons and further investigation is underway from them.

Meanwhile, Islamabad police impounded 62 bikes and four vehicles during general hold up. Black sheets were removed from four tinted glasses vehicles while police also apprehended four beggars from various areas of the city. Police teams also arrested 03 suspects during search operation in various area of the city.

SSP Islamabad Muhammad Rizwan has appreciated the overall performance and directed all police officials to ensure effective policing measures in their respective areas.
