Police pickets, check posts trouble citizens

RAWALPINDI: Police pickets and check posts established on the entry and exit ways of twin cities are increasing difficulties for citizens instead of providing them safety and facility

Police of Islamabad and Rawalpindi have established the joint pickets on the entry and exit ways of the cities to prevent the terrorism activities and daily crime rates, but now these check posts are creating problems for the flow of traffic.

Other than that crime rate has also increased in the jurisdiction of police stations New Town and Sadiqabad, where outlaw elements have started targeting the residents of Rawal road, Dhok Paracha, New Katariyan and Kuri road.

Police of twin cities had announced to establish joint pickets in regard to control these crimes in areas, however remained unsuccessful in taking any important action against criminals involved in these activities.

On the other side police pickets on Murree road and Faizabad have increased the miseries of the citizens as police personnel unnecessary stops them and starts checking of their vehicles which also affects on the flow of traffic.
