ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Chamber of Small Traders (ICST) on Sunday said political manoeuvres of Modi have backfired therefore he has opened an economic front against Pakistan.

After humiliation on military, political and moral fronts, India has opened an economic front against Pakistan which should be taken seriously, it said.

Indian PM Modi is now using India’s economic clout to damage Pakistan by isolating it diplomatically, said Patron ICST Shahid Rasheed Butt.

Now India is inking defence deals worth billions of dollars with influential countries which will help her gain their support, he added.

Shahid Rasheed Butt said that India is alleging illegal use of F-16 and other arms and ammunition with an objective to compromise Pakistan’s defence capabilities.

He said that Modi’s madness exposed weaknesses in the Indian military, united Pakistanis and provided an opportunity to our defence forces to demonstrate its capabilities.

The business leader said that Modi could not escape a defeat in upcoming elections despite irresponsible use of media and military power.

He said that action against militant organisations would deprive India and other countries of levelling baseless allegations against Pakistan.

Mr. Butt noted with regret that opposition demonstrated responsibility at the beginning of crisis but it has again started dirty politics as tension de-escalated.
