ISLAMABAD: Leaders of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Wednesday submitted four adjournment motions in Senate secretariat to discuss Rajanpur train bomb blast, Bannu blast, GHQ blast and scam of 80 billion of excise duty by different franchises during last seven years.

The motions were submitted under Rule 86 of Rule of Procedure and Conduct of Business in Senate 2012.

An adjournment motion submitted stated that Bannu blast was proved to be a big blow for security of the province as it killed at least 20 soldiers and wounded 30, so the matter should be discussed immediately.

In another motion, PPP legislators pointed out that suicide blast in RA Bazaar near GHQ Rawalpindi killed 14 people including seven military men that proved government’s inefficiency and incompetency.

The motion stated that Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) accepted responsibilities of both Bannu and RA Bazaar attacks, so this needs discussion on floor of the house.

The third motion was about Rajanpur train blast that derailed five bogies of passenger train.

The last motion was about a major scam of more than 80 million rupees, it is being said that owners of different franchise services evaded excise duty of more than 80 million rupees over the past seven years.

But top collection machinery has put the matter on the back burner so it needs discussion on the floor of the house.

The senate has been asked to discuss these major issues of national interest immediately for future of the country.
