LAHORE: President Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Punjab wing, Ejaz Chaudhry, general secretary Dr. Yasmin Rashid and secretary information, Andleeb Abbas raised questions on the asset declaration by the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.

In a statement on Friday, PTI reminded that Nawaz said that the message Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) had declared in may while filing his nomination with ECP amounting 251 million rupees while the once which ECP has now released show his assets worth rupees 1.7billion.

President Ejaz Chaudhry said that if this was an error than it needs to be corrected as was done immediately when a question was raised on PTI chairman Imran khan’s asset declaration which were found to be the same both in nomination papers and ECP declarations, he added.

He said that as there was no clarification given by PML-N on this difference it is assumed that the PM assets base has grown multiple times in the last six months.
Dr. Yasmin Rashid questioned this asset base by saying that this declaration does not include all the properties that are in the name of the PM’s son who live abroad and his daughter who lives here.

She demanded that to find the value of the real assets not only the spouse but the children property’s should also be declared otherwise most of the parliamentarians will simply name the property in other people names and declare themselves worth much less.

Andleeb Abbas said that it is a strange formula where the PM assets and industries are growing while Pakistan assets economy and industry is failing badly.
She said that the PM must tell everybody the secret formula that keeps his money growing while making the nation poorer and poorer.

She demanded that govt. explains this rise in the fortunes of the leaders at the cost of the poor people of Pakistan.
