Punjab governor says will dissolve assembly after deliberations from all legal aspects

LAHORE: Punjab governor Baleegh ur rehman said Saturday he will sign the chief minister’s recommendation to dissolve the provincial assembly after going through all the legal aspects of matter.

“It is a difficult task for a democratic person to dissolve the house, but there is a provision in the constitution to dissolve the assembly. However, it is my duty to see it from all aspects,” the governor said while talking to the media on Saturday.

The governor said decision has to be taken after taking cognizance of all the constitutional and legal aspects. He added that caretaker set-up and the date of the next election has also to be given, therefore, I will take a decision keeping in mind all these aspects and make a decision that will be constitutional, legal and in the interest of the country and nation.

Punjab governor said that promotion of business is very important to bolster up the economy of the country. He said that organizing such exhibitions promotes business activities. Governor Punjab said that businessmen are not only contributing to country’s economy by paying taxes, but are actively participating in philanthropy.
