Quaid’s birth anniversary: Shujat urges masses to re-rise spirit of 1947

LAHORE: President Pakistan Muslim League (PML), Senator Chaudhry Shujat Hussain while felicitating masses on eve of 137th birthday of Quaid-e-Azam has urged nation to demonstrate same spirit which was showed under Jinnah’s leadership during Pakistan movement.

In a statement on Tuesday, Chaudhry Shujat Hussain, senior central leader and former Deputy Prime Minister Chaudhry Parvez Elahi and Moonis Elahi have emphasized that nation must have to unite against enemies of country in full zeal and courage.

They have also extended heartiest felicitations to the Christian brethren on the auspicious occasion of the Christmas and assured that their party will continue to safeguard and protect completely rights of the Christians and other minorities.

The PML leaders said that the Motherland was facing dangers from all sides; in these circumstances it was bounden duty of every one of us to attach priority to solidarity and security of Pakistan.

“We should not forget that the country created after offering of great sacrifices of lives and properties by mothers, sisters, daughters, youth and elders was the guarantee of protection, honour and dignity of every one of us,” they added.

They highlighted role of the Christians and other minorities in security, progress and development of Pakistan.

PML leaders reiterates that party will continue making efforts for minorities rights as it had during its tenure in power like historical steps of return of missionary institutions, right of dual vote, double quota in jobs and provision of record development funds.
