Peshawar: Qaumi Watan Party (QWP) Chairman Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao on Thursday said the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government had failed to deliver on election pledges.

Speaking at the Central Executive Committee’s meeting, he said the PTI rulers lacked the ability to run the government.

Aftab Sherpao said the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) had gained momentum and the struggle would continue till the ouster of the incumbent government.

The QWP leader added his party workers would also participate in the protest demonstration outside the offices of the Election Commission of Pakistan.

Reiterating the demand for holding a free and fair election, Aftab Sherpao said the last general election was massively rigged to pave the way for the electoral victory of the PTI.

“This government has added to the woes of the common man,” he said, adding that inflation, price-hike and power tariff hike had compounded the miseries of the have-nots.

He added that the slogan of change was a ploy to reach the corridors of power. He said that the ruling party had reneged on all the pledges. He said that the country was lurching from one to another crisis while the economy was in a shambles.

Members of the central executive committee Haji Ghufran, Ahmad Nawaz Khan Jadoon, Zarar Ahmad Butt, Sikandar Sherpao, Hashim Babar, Sarkar Abbass, Jamil Advocate, Chaudhry Afzaal, Sardar Ahmad Nawaz Khan, Samiullah Luni, Jalil Bazai attended the meeting.
