Sarfraz Shah murder case: SHC rejects appeal against convictions of Rangers men
KARACHI: The Sindh High Court (SHC) on Tuesday announced its judgment over appeals filed by the accused Rangers personnel against their conviction in the Sarfaraz Shah murder case.
The court, acquitted lance Naik Liaqat Ali and upheld death sentence of Shahid Zafar.
The judgment was reserved by the court in May last year after a division bench, headed by Justice Sajjad Ali Shah, heard final arguments from deputy prosecutor general who vehemently opposed the convicts’ appeals.
Sarfraz Shah was murdered by Rangers personnel at Benazir Shaheed Park in Clifton, Karachi, on June 8, 2011.
