ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court (SC) has rejected plea of a student from KP for giving him 3 percent additional marks under gradation policy after passing the special examination.

A 3-member bench of SC presided over by the Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Gulzar Ahmad took up the case for hearing Friday.

The counsel for the petitioner argued ” I took part in special examination instead of acquiring upgradation in next step with additional 3 percent marks offered by the government. But I could not get these benefits which I could get under upgradation formula. I request that permission may be granted for giving me 3 percent additional marks along with marks obtained in special examination.

The CJP remarked ” you rejected the offer for 3 percent additional marks and took part in special examination. You were to avail one out of the both options.

Justice Ijaz ul Ahsan remarked on the occasion we can only say best of luck.

The court while rejecting the student plea wrapped up the petition.
