Shehbaz demands resignation of PM, CM Punjab

LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President and Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has demanded resignation of Prime Minister Imran Khan and Chief Minister Usman Buzdar.

Shehbaz Sharif said that PM should resign immediately as he certain segment of people to plunder national wealth. “The report has tried proven PM innocent by misreporting facts. Imran Khan first allowed the national treasury to be looted and then ordered arrest those who plundered the wealth,” he stated.

The opposition leader strongly criticized Prime Minister saying that he is the one who approved all decisions regarding sugar export and subsidy. “Now they can’t put this responsibility on anyone else,” he added.

He declared PM the leader of sugar-mafia saying that why did he allow sugar export when there was shortage in the country.

“When Sugar Advisory Board and Secretary Food were against the export of sugar, why did PM took a decision otherwise? From allowing sugar to be exported to hoarding and selling it expensively, all responsibility lies with Imran Khan,” he added.

Meanwhile Shehbaz Sharif has tested negative for the novel coronavirus. Sharif took a Covid-19 test after the party’s deputy secretary general Attaulah Tarar was diagnosed as positive for the infection. He had sent his samples to a private lab, which were declared negative. Attaullah Tarar in a tweet the previous day unveiled he has been infected by the coronavirus.

“I have been tested positive for COVID-19 Would like to request all those people who have interacted with me in the past few days to get their tests done and take precautions accordingly. Request for prayers,” he tweeted.

Meanwhile Shahbaz Sharif has said that the credibility of the Security Council will be questionable until Palestinians and Kashmiris get justice.

In his message on the Al-Quds Day, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz President Shahbaz Sharif said that India and Israel have become killers of humanity by crushing the legal rights of Kashmiris and Palestinians.

Shahbaz Sharif said it is a collective duty of Ummah to defend the rights of Palestinians and independence of the first Qibla adding that we have to set joint strategy at the Ummah level.

He said that OIC to fulfill the expectations of Ummah should work on these major disputes faced by the Islamic World. The Opposition leader in NA said that US measures in Jerusalem, Golan Heights and South of Jordan are in the negation of security council resolutions.
