PESHAWAR: Chairman Qaumi Watan Party (QWP), Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao Saturday expressed concerns over loss of innocent lives and damage to property in the shelling in North Waziristan Agency (NWA). He demanded of the government to evacuate stranded people from the area.

In a statement, chairman QWP said that collateral damage should be avoided and efforts be made to rescue ordinary people of NWA who were suffering due to action against militants.

Aftab Sherpao suggested the government to compensate the people, whose shops and homes were destroyed in the shelling.

“Civilian deaths and damage to public properties should be avoided at all cost,” he mentioned. Talking about Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI)-led provincial government, he mentioned that rulers had failed to honour the pledges made to public, adding provincial government couldn’t establish good governance and had indulged in non-issues to hoodwink the masses.
