Sindh Police to take special security measures on Benazir death anniversary

KARACHI: Inspector General (IG) Sindh Shahid Nadeem Baloch has issued the directions to police department to take unusual and solid security measures all across the province on the occasion of death anniversary of Benazir Bhutto (BB).

On Thursday, while talking to media men he said, on the occasion of death anniversary surveillance, scanning checking and police patrolling will be increased on the entrance ways to Garhi Khuda Bakhsh and Sindh.

He said, security will be increased also on Highways, avenues and all connecting roads, while active police personnel will be deployed on the check posts established on highways.

Police will also assure the process of technical sweeping and clearance in the surroundings of graveyard of Garhi Khuda Bakhsh and parking areas besides it.

All supervisory officers of concerned police stations will monitor all main ways and suspicious vehicles and persons, he added.

IG more said, intelligence collection and sharing system will be made more solid and strong and in this regard plain clothes personnel will be given special responsibilities in the surroundings of Garhi Khuda Bakhsh.
