ISLAMABAD: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI ) Amir Senator Siraj ul Haq has called for appointment of deputy foreign minister by government  to highlight Kashmir issue.

He said this while talking to a delegation of AJK JI led by JI AJK Naib Amir Raja Jahangir Khan which called on him here Tuesday.

JI Amir Siraj ul Haq was briefed about the latest situation in Occupied Kashmir.

Senator Siraj ul Haq said Kashmir is matter of life and death for Pakistan. Kashmiris are struggling  to complete the incomplete agenda of partition of sub continent. The struggle  being waged by Kashmiris is in line with UN charter.

He held UN Charter provides right to struggle to Kashmiris against illegal occupation of Kashmir by India.

He underscored that Indian leadership itself pledged before the entire world in  UN and UN Security Council that it would give right to Kashmiris to decide about their future. India has backtracked from its pledge. The responsibility lies with the international community  to bring India to dock and play its role in ensuring right to self-determination to people  of Kashmir.

He called upon government of Pakistan to appoint  a deputy foreign minister to highlight Kashmir issue.

Peace of South Asia is linked to resolution of Kashmir issue and peace in South Asia will remain elusive unless Kashmir conundrum is sorted  out, he underlined.
