Strict vigil over arming groups under guise of National security: Nisar

ISLAMABAD: Federal interior minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has resolved to keep strict vigil over the policy of arming a specific group in Balochistan under the guise of National security.

In a statement, following the meeting between CM, Balochistan Abdul Malik Baloch, whence Nisar assured Malik about federal government’s assistance in maintaining law and order situation in the Province.

Nisar also said that all such groups armed by the previous governments in the past would be disarmed as well.

The meeting also agreed upon speeding the developmental progress of the province, while the policy of evolving consensus over dialogue with all political and non-political groups for peace and political stability of the province were also deliberated upon.

According to a statement, the CM Balochistan is expected to play his important and due role in this regard. However the term ‘non-political groups’ was not fully deliberated about.

Meanwhile trends indicate that the Provincial government of Balochistan was quite active in getting dissident Baloch leaders into mainstream of National politics.

Talking to journalists in Islamabad National Party’s Hasil Bizenjo said that situation in the Province was changing fast, as compared to that of 65 earlier years.

During the meeting between Nisar and Malik the holding of peaceful LG elections were also discussed, while the services rendered by police and law enforcement agencies were also lauded.
